Sorry about the sexist title, but are there any girls looking for a roommate on-campus or off-campus for UC Berkeley? (Do you want to exchange student IDs in order to request to live together?) I can work only in a very quiet environment (If it is loud, I will lock the door if I have a door to lock…) and even though I just turned 21, I do not tolerate alcohol (2 exceptions: chocolate creme liquor and pina coladas only on the New Year’s Eve) Oh, my boyfriend will not let me live with another guy alone, unless there is one more girl sharing the apartments with us lol I am a very hard-working, organized, open-minded and outgoing person. I can cook really good Russian food, I like to run in the morning and play tennis, watch late-night romantic movies and have pillow fights lol I am fluffy, squeaky clean, and I do not bite. I live strictly on a chocolate diet.)) Does anyone want to adopt me?

Ooh! You sound awesome!
I’ll probably be going to Berkeley as well and live on campus. No alcohol, either, but then again I’m only 17…(I’m a junior transfer, not freshman, though!)

she does say berkeley; it’s in the first sentence.

anyway, i would definitely be interested if i end up going to berkeley this fall. i want to live on campus in the wada apartments though. i just visited my friend who lives there and he has a really great place.

so we actually seem pretty similar. i love to run in the morning, and it seems as though my only lover is chocolate. mmmm. i like the occasional party, but i definitely respect anyone that doesn’t want it near them. during the week, i would rate the cleanliness of my room a 7 or 8 out of 10. things are usually back to being very clean on the weekends though. well, if you can’t find a roommate by the time you apply for housing, you should definitely contact me for this option, if I decide on cal. by the way, do you have facebook?

heh, I am sorry, because I forgot to mention the school and after you posted the comment, I corrected the first sentence I am still deciding between UCLA and Berkeley, but I am leaning towards Berkeley and I want to live in the Wada apartments, too (but i have heard it is very hard to actually get them, because space is very limited). I like clubbing or parties on the weekends, but I always end up studying…so “the occasional party” (somewhere else) sounds perfect if I do not end up sleeping after all week of studying lol I will get a facebook, but right now I have a very old myspace page. )) Once I get it, I will send it to you. missyujin, where do you want to live on campus?

I also want to live in the Wada apartments.
Berkeley guarantees housing for transfers, and Wada is reserved for transfers…I’m pretty sure we could get it?

I hope so, because I am not ready to live off-campus on my own…it would be so dark and lonely. I have not submitted my SIR yet. My email is Maria.Milova@yahoo.com, keep in touch!

Hey! Some of us prefer living alone to having to put up with close minded or childish people. You know, like people who irrationally oppose to alcohol…

If I could, I would live alone and eventually I will (there is time for everything)… Not all people, who oppose to alcohol are close-minded or childish. Some people, like me, do not tolerate the taste of alcohol, but tolerate hot chocolate and cranberry juice I do not judge people who drink, especially since I hang out with a Russian group of people, and unfortunately, it seems the only point of meeting these days is to drink, but I am not used to drinking. My parents never drink (only on the New Year’s or someone’s birthday), so I was brought up this way and I am happy, too. UCSD Muir is the best! I got accepted to UCSD twice (Warren and Marshall) and it has always been my dream school, but my parents would not let me go there. (not that I blame my parents, because they are the ones who will pay for my college and want me to succeed in life, so they get to choose where I am going). Good luck in UCSD!

Hey, i’m a transfer to Berkeley too. And i’m female, just FYI. I sure will live on-campus but still haven’t applied for housing yet. I heard that it’s really crowded and you should apply now to make sure you get a place to live. Does anybody know anything more on Berkeley housing? apartment stuff? Cause i have no clue. I want to live in an apartment with not too many people, and i need my own space to study so if i can have my own room, that’s great ( although that sounds impossible or if possible it should be really expensive). I don’t wanna pay too much for this cause i’m an international student so i pay a lot for tuition already. Anybody knows anything for me???

I’m not so sure anymore if I’ll be going to Berkeley. Boston College just seems like a better fit, being smaller and not having so many Asians…I don’t know.
