female swimming recruit times for Ivies

Is there such a thing as partial support for your app if you don’t have the times to place in the top 8 for Ivy finals but would def place in the top16? m

Not sure I understand the question: You currently would place in the top 16 of Ivy league finals? If yes, I’d assume that every coach would be drooling over you.

Sorry for the confusion, we were told by an Ivy coach that they would support a swimmer who would place in the top 8 in 3 events, not true??

Every school is going to have different needs. Assuming the swimmer is a HS junior, she should initiate contact via recruiting questionnaires or emailing coaches directly

Top 8 in three different events would be pretty competitive, wouldn’t it? Also, certain ivies will be more selective than others. That’s a different question than would you get partial support without placing in the top 8 at all …?

Looking at the Ivy League championships, http://www.meetresults.com/2010/ivies/results-splits.html</a>
this seems to be true mainly for Harvard, Princeton, Yale (and to a lesser extent Penn). The results should give you a good idea what the required times are at the respective ivies.
