<p>I’m currently a second-year student at a community college in California. In terms of transfer schools, I am hoping for UCLA or Cal. In the meantime, I hope to spend a good portion of my last semester in community college torwards creating a fiction portfolio for grad school. Does anyone have any advice as to the best way to accomplish this? I am hoping that in the course of writing short stories to show to grad schools that I will create something of publishable quality. So I guess my question is pretty general but I could use any words of wisdom anyone has to offer? </p>
