Fictional Essay for CA Essay

Would it be too risky to write a fictional essay for CA?
I’m thinking about using the big picture(structure) of a well-known story and changing the substance, which are based on my experience living in the Middle East as a foreigner.

I think it’s too risky. How are your readers going to be able to tell what parts of it are fictional and what aren’t? Because of that, they won’t really be able to learn about you as a person and the entire of purpose of writing the essay in the first place will be lost.

Alternatively, you could write about your experiences in the Middle East as a foreigner and (maybe?) somewhere mention how it relates to this story. But i’m kind of curious what prompt you’re going to do this under?

I agree that it’s not the right choice. You only have 650 words…why would you waste any words on a fictional story? Stick to your story.

Keep it real.
