FIDM to Parsons or University?

I recently finished my first year at a community college just finishing most of my general Ed and one business class for my business administration major. I’m planning on attending FIDM in the fall for the Merchandise Product Development major, which is a two year AA degree.

After that, I’m considering transferring to Parsons in NY or should I go to a University instead to finish my business administration major for my bachelors?

I talked to a few Alumni from FIDM and they said that it’s best to just get an AA from there and then transfer to a University since there could be a possibility in more job offers. However, at the time, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be yet. Now that I’ve grown to realize my ultimate goal in becoming a creative direction for a high-end fashion label, wouldn’t it be best to join into Parsons due to the connections or would it still be equivalent or beneficial to go to graduate from a University instead and head into Parsons graduate program?

You need to find out from Parsons whether they admit transfers for the major you would want there, and whether or not an AA from FIDM would be a good thing to have as a transfer applicant. If Parsons is your goal, then it may make more sense for you to finish your AA at the community college, and then transfer to Parsons.
