Obviously, if you are a top level exec of any company of a management consultant, then you are going to do a lot of international work/travel, but are there any particular areas that will allow you to work internationally at a lower level (besides consulting)? I’ve talked to a few of my friends who are into marketing/supply chain management that say they’ve been able to advance fairly quickly (relative to those in finance) and have been doing some international work and a lot of traveling as well. I know marketing/SCM are considered the “loser” majors here, but is there opportunity in the less highly regarded areas such as those 2 to do international work as well, or is it mainly restricted to finance/accounting?

thanks
