Fields of Law

There seem to be a good number of questions on this board lately about different practice areas. While not every practice area is described, I’ve attached a description from the LSAC website of several of the largest practice areas:

Agricultural law deals with law on Agricultural infrastructure, seed, water, fertilizer, pesticide, etc; Law on agricultural finance, Law on agricultural labour; agricultural marketing; Agricultural insurance, Farming rights, Land tenure and tenancy system and law on Agricultural processing and rural industry. With implementation of modern technologies, issues like credit, intellectual property, trade and commerce related to agriclutural products are dealt within the sphere of this law.

does international law consist of a lot of traveling? and what kinds of jobs would you have in international law?

I believe that there is another entire thread where “international law” is currently being discussed. Perhaps you should try to keep that topic in one thread?

In any event, I think that the consensus is that there is international transactional law, which you almost can’t help to do if you work in corporate law in a BIGLAW firm (since most of your clients are multinational and/or sell products and/or buy supplies internationally), and there is international trade law. You need to help folks on the other thread understand what you are looking for in an “international” career so that the advice you receive will be relevant to your goals.
