Fight or flight??

Hey people.
Just want to talk about courage. How many of you can honestly say they have guts when it comes to making life changing decisions?? I’m only askin cause i’m about to make a huge decision that will affect me for the rest of my life and i seem to be lacking in the guts department …
I keep having second thoughts!!!
Anyone feel like talkin??:)

i have no guts. this obviously hinders my ability to digest food. i feel your pain, but in a literal sense.

(perhaps you’d like to detail what kinds of decision you’re talking about? because your vagueness makes it difficult for me to give you an honest answer to your question.)

Well it’s related to my major in university! And what are you having indigestion problems?? :P

Let me guess, you’re switching from a science to a humanities major? Do it.

i made a decision to skip 3 years of high school.

as for changing majors, do what you feel is right. if you feel bored or something with your current major, the switch will help. i mean, life takes: ______ (something from the VISA commercial)

if you don’t like your current major, vhange it. If the 2nd one doesn’t work, pick something else and so on til you find something u like.

Lower the importance of such a decision… seriously, what you major in for undergrad has very low effect on what you actually do for a career… plus you can always pursue graduate school when you find out exactly what it is you want to do…then become a master at.

Better to change your major while you’re still in college than to find out you really don’t like the field you studied after you’ve gone into it. I have a friend whose dad became a doctor because his parents wanted him to, hated it, went to law school instead, got bored with that and ended up going into advertising. Many years of schooling down the drain.

WOW!! you guys seem to know what you’re talking about!! Well i made the huge decision of dropping my pre-med courses!! I decided that i didn’t want medicine!! My family did !! So now i dumped the whole idea!! What’s left is the major. To stick to biology or not??

Fight, then flight. :D

If you have snakes on your plane, you can have your fight and your flight at the same time.

that is the exact same situation as my roommate. I suggested she change majors and she did. Her parents have gotten over it.

flgirl i’m trying to decide whether to change my major or not. If i do, i would want to go into psychology. How did your roommate muster up enough courage to change?? How did you actually convince her to do so??My best friend has been working on me for months ans it still hasn’t paid off!! LOL! Now i’m out of time and i have to decide by next week!! HELP!!!

Are you having a time deciding whether Snakes on a Plane or Pulp Fiction was better?

goodbrew-Don’t even group those two movies together…

What year are you in college? It might have some relevance to the question. Otherwise, do you even like biology? If not, major in psych. Could you major in psych and use your previous courses to minor in bio?

I’m about to start my junior year in university. I do like biology but ti wasn’t what i expected at all. It was very different actually and quite disappointing in some ways.Yes i can use the courses i already took to minor in biology instead of majoring in it. My problem is that i simply can’t take that step of changing majors!! I’m worried about regretting it later!!I overthink things!!I’m so lost right now…

Changing majors is no big deal!
I just switched from being a journalism major to being an education major over the summer (entering my junior year), and it’s the best thing that I’ve done the whole time I’ve been in college! You can always change back if you don’t like whatever you switch to.

It is a very big deal for me. When i mentioned it to my mum, she looked at me with bug-eyes and her jaw dropped so low it nearly knocked my cat!!!
The thing is i promised the folks i’d finish in exactly 3 years…as a result i can’t waste any time. if i switch, i’ll need more than 3 years. I think it’s too late for me. Anyway, i guess i’ll just have to figure out what i like over the coming 2 years then pursue it in grad school later on. No one ever really ends up doing what he majored in right???
