At the end of the year, I’ll probably be close to $20,000 Gross income. My mom will probably make a little more than that. My question is can I file as an independent since I pay my own phone bill, car insurance, and gas money? Granted, I do live with her, and she provides most of the food and pays the home bills. I’m 21, a junior in college, and have all of my tuition and expenses paid for with grants and scholarships.
