<p>My great-grandmother worked at the Food Research Institute, which was closed in 1996. It’s not listed as an option on the common app for legacy department/affiliation. What should I do?</p>
<p>It is my understanding that legacy refers to family members who attended the university, not family members who worked for the university. I don’t think that qualifies as a legacy affiliation. </p>
