Has anyone else had their financial aid change? I got an email stating that my financial award changed, but when checking on WA it just shows that the amount for work study has increased, not too much of a big deal but just curious why this may have happened?

Likely to accommodate the 5.6% tuition increase plus increase in residence package cost that occurred after your Cost-of-Attendance was calculated the first time. If the increases meant that you had more of a gap than originally, they can recalc. if you’re eligible for more. If you were already maxed out on loans, pell, perkins, etc., the only place left short of grant would be work study.

Yeah, mine changed last week (they gave me another $800 grant)…and then it changed again yesterday (my dad took out a PLUS loan to cover the gap between my awarded FA and the CoA, and the new award summary was updated to reflect this).

Oh, you know what else they told me during a conversation about something else…they’re also in the process of calculating grants for the Academic Competitive Grant for students from a rigorous background/school/curriculum. That can be another source of adjustment.
