<p>So when I tried to login to the Financial Aid link Amherst emailed me, it requested I enter my User ID and PIN. The email told me the “username and password are the same as your Amherst username and password”, but that combination doesn’t work.</p>
<p>Did Amherst send out a PIN before? If so, how do I get it again?</p>
<p>Also clicking the “First Time User” button underneath the login, then entering my username doesn’t do anything, it just tells me they’re unable to activate my account. It’s also prompting me for my User ID though and I’m not sure they’re the same thing.</p>
<p>Did anyone else have problems such as this? If it means anything I did change my Amherst password recently, would that make a difference?</p>

Amherst set up a new financial aid login system today, so I think the kinks are still being worked out.</p>
<p>Ah, I see. Thanks for the information, it’s reassuming to know I’m not the only one! I noticed the site was a little poorly done :p</p>
<p>Still, seeing as WL people only have a few days left to decide, and Aid is going to be the deciding factor for me, I wish I’d get it sooner rather than later.</p>

<p>My login still does not work. However, the Financial Aid page states that currently there are technical difficulties with the database, and that financial aid awards will be emailed.
I received mine today.</p>
<p>I sent the financial aid office an email about my situation and they sent my letter electronically. I also got it in the mail a day later, so it wasn’t too big a deal.</p>
