finaid for 2 cornellians at once?

i heard from a friend (and fellow cornellian) that if you have 2 siblings at cornell at the same time, the financial aid office won’t award one of you money. i have trouble believing this, as i know quite a few families with 2 or more students at cornell currently. then again, i don’t know their financial situation so i guess it wouldn’t matter if they can send both/all of them full-pay. does anyone know? this may affect whether or not my brother applies as a freshman or if he’ll wait to transfer in after i graduate. thanks!

That sounds pretty silly. If anything, having two siblings attend at the same time would result in better financial aid packages, I would think.

^^^^ False. My brother and I attended at the same time and both got JACK from fin aid. Good luck.

^ Probably because even if one of you attended alone, you wouldn’t have gotten anything anyway. But really, I’m no FinAid official, so who knows.

Why not call the financial aid office instead of hearing second-hand from the rest of us?
