Final decisions and transferring?

<p>I’m just about done with decisions.
I got rejected by Cornell, Columbia, and Penn. I got into UCONN, Penn State University Park, Northeastern, BU, Richmond, and Carnegie Mellon. Still waiting for UVA. I mostly just applied to safety schools and far reaches.
Freshmen: 3.3
Sophmore: 3.5
Junior: 3.5, 5 honors
Senior: 3.3, 4 AP, 2 honors
By my schools system, I’ll have about a 4.0 weighted when I graduate.
SAT I: 2240, SAT 2 Math 2: 700, SAT 2 Literature: 700
I played freshmen and JV football for 2 years and varsity track for 4 years.
President of Key Club, Treasurer of FBLA, Secretary of DECA, participant in Model UN, Mock Trial, and We the People, assistant manager position at Carvel, private tutor at Kumon learning center.
I’m chinese. I plan on going into a business major. I really regret that I didn’t do more in high school. If you notice from my grades, I just started applying myself around the end of sophmore year. I wouldn’t say my activities or accomplishments are strong, but they’re better than my grades. I honestly hoped that one of my dream schools would see the potential in me? I know that sounds pretty pathetic, but I do feel like I am capable of doing well at a top tier school.
I want to know how difficult it would for me to get into a top tier school after 1 year at Uconn, which is my states public school, assuming I get straight As and further build on my resume. If I were to transfer, I would probably widen my search to the whole country instead of just near the east coast. Chances at transferring to Berkley? Penn? or UVA? if i dont get in on Sunday.
By the way, UVA is actually my first choice. I dont think i’ll get in though :(</p>

<p>Your gpa was not competitive for C, C & P as a fr applicant (or likely UCB or UVA as an OOS student). Your sr year grades dropped. You will have finished 1 semester of college when you apply as a soph transfer, so your HS record will be weighed more than your college work.</p>
