<p>Hey, I was wondering whether our final high school grades have any effect for our status in Cal other than seeing whether or not we get rescinded. (I’m going to be a freshman in Cal in the fall)</p>

<p>No one really cares about your HS GPA besides if you’ll be rescinded or not. Unless you’re applying to a summer program/scholarship this summer, it won’t matter much. You’ll start anew at Cal.</p>

<p>For grad school, they’ll only use your undergrad GPA. Your HS GPA is history about a year after you graduate from HS. Once you finish your first year at college, you will start using your new GPA (which is mostly lower than your HS one -sad- lol!).</p>
