Final Stats. Chance an ambitious Prospective Kid?

Hey, I’m applyng for BU RD and I was wondering how I stack up. I don’t care which college, as long as it is within BU. I was thinking of appling to CAS or COM, but would CGS make more sense with my stats?

Recs: From a teacher I’ve had for 3 semesters, I am one of the most ambitious kids, so I would hope it would be good.

Thanks for any help!

Eagle Scouts is good, your rank is pretty low as well as your SAT IIs, but I think you definitely have a shot.

Do you think I should send my SATs? I see that my ACT is closer to the average than my SAT is.

you have a shot

Send in everything.

Also, I don’t think it matters what the highest score in your school is. Boston U definitely doesn’t look at your school’s scores as a whole.

Damn :\ I was going to say, the highest SAT I believe is a 2200, and THAT was a stretch…People I know ranked ~10th have scores in the 1600-low 1700’s.

Do they use the best scores from any test? Or do they only look at individual tests?

When your high school sends your transcript to colleges they also send a school profile which gives the ad com a snapshot of your school. The profile generally lists graduation requirements, grading scale, curriculum offered and average test scores for the previous year’s class. So colleges will see that your scores are well above the average. How they will use that information, I have no idea.

Oh, one more question. I was looking on the Common App, and I noticed they list ACT Writing and Math separate averages. Do they look at it more individually? Or more towards composite? Common app say’s I’m above the average ACT range compositely, but slightly below average for Writing and Math.

EDIT: OH, and I got an 8 on the Essay.

bump! 10 char

OH! and my rank will be higher than what is posted. Should be around rank 50-60 or better after this semester.
