I am an International seeking Aid

Very impressive ECs though I’m not familiar with how the stats would stack up against other international applicants and applicants under the US system. But based on the ECs and the raw grades, I’d say you’d have an excellent chance of getting in.

As for financial aid, you probably need to look at schools with lots of $$$, small tuition bill (best of luck trying to find one), or merit scholarships. Schools like Princeton which is completely need-blind will offer good financial aid, otherwise, the aid amount depends heavily on the budget constraints as well as how much the school has left over after it doles the money out to US citizens/perm residents. Merit scholarships are another way to look at things since they [usually] do not depend on nationality and I think you’d have a good chance at getting some if the school offers them.

Thank You for your feedback!

I had the impression that Duke had enough funds. But I guess I was wrong.

I’m not sure how good Duke’s financial aid usually is for international students, but I know that Duke meets 100% of demonstrated need only for US citizens and perm. residents. But that doesn’t mean they have bad fin. aid for internationals either.

You can probably call up the financial aid office sometime or send them an email and ask for statistics about aid for international students.

Edit: also look into the merit scholarships at Duke.

Well I found something Duke only meets need for only 20-25 internationals each year.
