Any miracles anyone’s ever had during finals week? I know for my friend she cried so aggressively to her teacher, she managed to bring her grade up 5% to an A…any finals miracles you’ve experienced?
How?
Got an A on my English 2 Honors exam last year bringing my final grade to a B. (I got C’s for all the quarters)
I got a 99 on my orchestra midterm XD
Somehow, this year my exam scores managed to bump me up a grade in three classes!
I would be so po’d if one of my friends did that. :\
I thought I failed my English midterm last year. I remember feeling totally awful going home afterwards. I ended up getting a 92, and I was so proud! I had been getting B-'s for quarter one and two, making it completely shocking.
I was acing Chemistry both quarters but not paying attention in class because I thought it would be an easy A. Near the end, my grades started to drop to borderline A. When we took our exams I was convinced that my grade had dropped to a B and my life was over. Somehow, I ended up finishing the class with a 89.5 which rounded to an A. (90 is A). I am convinced that the universe is looking out for me.
Hoping for a miracle on my AP Physics final Thursday–I need to raise my grade 1% to get an A, which is doable if I get ~91.5% on my final, but I’m really scared because I’m terrible at multiple choice.
@tonystarkofwinterfell if it makes you feel any better, some kids from the Division B Science Olympiad team I help coach guessed on every question on a MC test and placed higher than students from 3 Nationals-caliber teams. When in doubt, guess about.
I’m half a percent away from an A in Calculus and AP Biology - I could REALLY use a miracle on my finals next week.
@awesomepolyglot that’s actually really awesome, especially since I used to do Division B and I know how hard it is. Your kids are really, really lucky. //it’s mostly that I have problems with the question type since I somehow can get a C+ on multiple choice and an A+ on free response LOL
I’m a NY Mets fan-- so, by definition, I’m a believer in miracles.
But there’s a huge difference between believing in miracles and counting on them.
Believing in them means appreciating them when they happen-- when someone on the brink of financial ruin wins LOTTO, or when a tumor mysteriously disappears.
Counting them means going into a test you’ve chosen not to prepare for.
My miracle was when that 10 cm tumor turned out to be benign.
Long story boring her teacher really liked her + the teacher is really dumb and plays favoritism hardcore haha
