What happens if you have more than 70 units before transferring to a UC from a community college? I have currently have 78. Can I still transfer and does this affect my financial aid eligibility?
If your 78 course credits are all lower division courses taken at a CC, then only 70 credits will be transferred and the rest earn subject credit.
UC will only accept 70 semester (105 quarter) units of credit for lower-division coursework completed at any non-UC schools or CC’s.
Yes you can transfer and it will not affect your FA eligibility since you will be transferring as a Junior level transfer.
