To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Lahunha and I just applied to Weber State University a couple of months ago. I have attended several other institutes about seven years ago. During those years between 2005- 2009 my mother was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I was her caregiver from March 2005 until August 2006. I began attending NMU in 2006 I was still checking in on my mother throughout my time at school. My GPA suffered significantly because of my mother’s illness. I have since attended Healing Mountain Massage School in SLC. I graduated with a 4.0 and can provide you with some of my course work to show you what I can do when I am not under such stress. I have learned to organize myself and have better time management skills since attending NMU.

I have met with ******** in the college of health professions to discuss the best course of action to meet my goals. We have laid out a plan for the next semester (Fall 2017). I will be taking the math mastery test by March to place myself in the right math course. I will also be retaking seven courses that I previously failed at NMU. I plan to meet with my advisors at least once per semester to go over classes to take the next semester. I will be using the tutoring services on campus when I need help. I will check in with professors weekly on my grade standing and what to do to improve it if needed.

I plan to major in Respiratory Therapy the bachelors program once my GPA is at a 2.5. I currently am under the General Education major until I accomplish that goal. I am hoping to graduate by spring 2021. I need 69.00 more credit hours but will be re-taking some of the credit hours I currently have in order to improve my GPA. With this degree I want to work as a Respiratory Therapist and maybe down the road a college professor.

Thank you for your time,
Lahunha
