Financial aid at Western New England University?

Western New England University has a whooping $40,000 fee for out-of-state students and I’m definitely not the richest kid here in New York. Does WNE typically give out financial aid? If it helps, I have a 3.52 GPA, 1490 on the SAT, and my parents income is approximate $10,000 each.

Is that SAT score for all three sections of the test? If so, you really need to retake and improve that score.

I would also suggest that you look into the public universities in NY state which will be much more modest in price.

Western New England University is a private university. The cost of attendance is the same for in and out of state residents. The school does give need based aid but they do not guarantee to meet full need. I would suggest you run your family financial information using the Net Price Calculator on the college website. It will give you an estimate of the amount of aid you might receive. Just keep in mind that if a parent is self employed this might not be accurate.

What are you interested in majoring in? There are many great SUNYs and CUNYs.

Here is the info on merit aid:

Also run the NPC to check out what other aid you might get.
