<p>Does one’s financial aid award decrease if he/she recieves a large scholarship? The scholarship covers the remaining costs left after financial aid…meaning college is paid for! unless UCI takes away some of that aid…</p>
<p>The finaid UCI gave you was an estimate, assuming you did not won any scholarship. So what they do when you register at UCI and start processing with the grants/ loans, they ask you if you revieced any scholarship, then they alter your finaid award to how much you now recieve from before. Does this make sense?</p>
<p>Yeah my loan amount available decreased. But that was it considering I don’t have any other scholarships. Just the cal grant A.</p>
