Financial Aid/Competitiveness

Okay, question:

At two comparable universities of different academic level, is it easier to get financial aid at the easier one because there’s less competition? Like, if I have the highest SAT score in school, am I gonna get more aid, or does it matter? I’m basically asking if it’s a big-fish-small-pond system, or if you get similar financial aid wherever.

At colleges that don’t meet need for all, the better your stats the more aid you’ll get.

I agree with Hmom5. Also, once you get aid, you need to keep getting it for three more years, which means that you need to maintain good grades. It is a lot of pressure to be worrying about your aid being cut due to problems with your GPA.
