Assuming that I get in (big if, definitely not a certainty), what would be my prospects for receiving financial aid? I know that they say that they will meet full demonstrated need, and so I’m guessing that since my EFC is $40,000, I would probably get around $18,000 or so in an aid package to fill the gap to the COA. Am I correct in believing so? My other question is whether this aid would mostly come in the form of loans, or whether they would give a mix of grants and loans? If anyone knows about the finaid system here or has experience, that would greatly be appreciated.

My EFC was 52,000, and I got 5,500 in loans and 2,500 in work-study. They will probably try to give you as many loans as possible, but you may get some grants as well.

I was upper-middle class and received about 7000 in grants and 3,500 in a loan which I switched to a work study.
