Financial Aid for Waitlisted students?

basically, the topic. Do waitlisted applicants get an FA if accepted off of the waitlist? and when realistically do we hear back from the waitlist?

From what I know, waitlist students are offered the same need-based FA as other admitted students were offered.

We’ll probably hear back from the waitlist in mid-May (last year, they announced they were admitting students from the waitlist on May 7th, and the initial decisions were released on May 12th), but if they decided not to admit students from the waitlist (i.e. the admitted class is over-enrolled), then we’ll find out probably around May 5th or so.

From the May 6, 2010 Kenyon Collegian:

"The Class of 2014 not only yielded more deposits than the Office of Admissions expected, but it also has shown the highest test scores ever, according to Jennifer Delahunty, dean of admissions and financial aid.

Currently, the Class of 2014 has 498 deposits, but Admissions anticipates that the class will be about 460 come fall, after 20 to 30 students defer or change their minds over the summer.
