<p>I have a question pertaining to financial. I won a scholarship from HSF and I was wondering whether or not should accept some of loans since it will be enough to cover the cost. Should I accept the loans anyway and just pay them off with the scholarship. I also have a work study. will that also affect my financial aid in someway?</p>
<p>Yes, it will affect your financial aid.
You should report your scholarship from HSF to UCSD financial office.
They will add it to your grants and substract your loans.
My loans now are lower from preliminary Financial Award because I reported my ELK scholarship. (from 3.5K sub and 2K unsub loan —> to 2.6K sub loan only)
Why do you need to take loan if you don’t need it.
You need to pay loan fees and % latter on.</p>
