<p>i had a question - i received a ‘departmental award’ (just money) added to my financial aid page on bearfacts and wanted to know what this is/ how i got it? i’m currently a freshman (fall admit) and am planning on being an mcb major . . . i’m curious so i can continue doing what i’m doing to get more :)</p>

<p>Back in my day they had a ceremony for this, I am pretty sure, and they gave you a fancy letter honoring you for this.</p>
