Financial Aid Question for non-traditional student

What are the financial aid rules for non-traditional students? My EFC will be close to $0 since I'm 26 years and I really do not have a stable job.

I've heard if I apply to the CGS programs like Cornell/UPenn/NU, I won't be eligible for any FA. Is this true? What are really my choices then?

If you are attending a semester based institution, like most high school graduates, then the rules are virtually the same. If you are entering a "specialty" program at a traditional school that functions as "non-term", then the rules can be drastically different. Some traditional programs limit school-based aid to "adults" but the same federal and state aid is normally available. Your best bet is to contact the schools financial aid office and find out directly from them.
