If i was denied financial aid, can i still receive my cal grant a reward??
Why were you denied financial aid? What kind of aid were you denied?
Lemme rephrase that. Financial aid and Cal Grant A/B are two seperate monies right
you can get the Calgrant without getting any other forms of need based aid from your college. In fact, I’m going to guess that the vast majority of need based aid awarded to CA residents attending CA public universities comes in the form of the Calgrant.

Depending on your qualification, you may be awarded the Cal Grants and not others, such as Pell Grants and Direct Loans.
I don’t think you understood the concept of financial aid when you asked the question. Financial Aid is a broad term people use to describe free college money you get from many different sources, such as Pell Grant, Cal Grant, scholarship, and etc. Cal Grant is just one type of possible financial aid you can receive. So your question doesn’t even make sense in the first place.
