financial aid-saving tuition money

Before leaving USC due to concerns with financial aid, consider the following alternatives to saving some tuition money if it works for your major:

Go to a community college this summer for pre-approved transfer credits.

See if your AP credits allow you to graduate in less than 4 years

See if there is a USC major which allows you to graduate in less than 4 years using community college and/or AP credits

Look at study abroad for less expensive study abroad locations. I was surprised to see that some of the study abroad locations are less money than staying at USC junior year.
5 If you are at Viterbi, look into the co-op program for paid work experience while getting your degree.

Check the career center to see if there is any well paid internship connected with your major to earn money.

See if your parents work for a company which gives scholarships.

Seek out scholarships on fastweb and other places.
