Financial Aid/Scholarships

I am curious about FinAid and Scholarships. I would like to apply for some scholarships, but it says that “unless otherwised noted, students who apply for financial aid will automatically be considered for these scholarships.” I don’t know if I can apply for financial aid. My family’s yearly income is very high. However, the reason I want to apply for some scholarships is I am the oldest of six children. By the time my father (sole income of the family) pays for all of us to go to at least 4 years undergrad + I think at least my brother and I will go to grad school, that is a HUGE sum of money so I would like to help him out. Can I still apply for scholarships and the like, even though yearly income is high?

you will want to apply for financial aid – even if you don’t think you will qualify. You might be surprised – and many schools require you to apply for FA in order to apply for scholarships. Even if you don’t demonstrate any need – they make you do the paperwork.

Okay, thanks a lot!
