The financial aid forum didn’t seem to have many discussion topics, so I figured this is the best place to post. I have a question about the system I have heard about in which your financial aid information is put into some sort of database. A counselor I was talkign about mentioned it, she said if you get aid at a school it is recorded and other schools you apply to later (such as a transfer) will be notified that you received aid at that school. I was wondering how this works. Do you have to accept the aid offer, or does it just have to be offered? Also, will they send how much your offer was to the new schools or will I have to find documentation for them?

Someone else has mentioned this before. I am not sure how it works, and I couldn’t tell you who would know. I am really not much help today. Sorry!
