Financial Aid Tab-what does it mean?

<p>After logging into Gibson Online, I now have a financial aid tab, which previously wasn’t there. My admission status still is pending review, so what does this new tab mean?</p>

<p>were you deferred initially for EA? I can’t your question but the same thing happened to me and I was curious myself, and I was deferred from EA.</p>

<p>I applied regular decision (with the personal application) and I have the tab there too with no decision. I’ve been checking Gibson every day (sometimes twice a day) since I applied in December and just want to know already!</p>

<p>DS called his admissions counselor and the answer is still “you will hear by April 1.” He was deferred from EA, too.</p>

<p>I submitted the personal application on…December 13? RD. then i waited for two months, finally emailed them when i saw no status change. The next day my status changed to pending review “we will let you know before or on April 1” etc… and now I have a financial Aid tab as well. I’m guessing it means nothing. All schools send applicants financial aid information even before they make decisions. I’ve gotten Financial aid information from plenty of other schools that I haven’t heard back from in terms of admission, I’m sure this is just Tulane’s method of distributing information.</p>

<p>but seriously, how much longer do I have to wait??? I’ve been checking everyday…</p>

<p>I submitted the personal application on December 16 …I have been checking Gibson every day for about 3 weeks now since my status changed to pending. When I clicked the financial aid summary this morning it said my academic progress was “new student” in red letters. I called the financial aid office to ask what this meant and they told me nothing. Now it is changed to “undetermined”. They obviously changed my status after the phone call. Does anyone know what this means?</p>

<p>I just checked to see what it said for me under academic progress, because i remembered reading something along the lines of “new student”, and mine too has been changed to “undetermined”. They may have just changed it, because people such as yourself called to see if it meant anything, or maybe they just realized it was misleading.</p>
