Financial Aid: UT Austin

Hey CC I’m going through a crisis with my financial aid completely due to my own stupidity and would really like some advice. I spent a year at UT-Arlington with a 3.6 GPA and transferred to UT Austin my sophomore year. I neglected my grades this first semester at UT Austin and I’m failing chemistry to the point where if I get 100% on the final the maximum I can make is a 68 in the class. I’ve already been awarded my financial aid in loans and scholarships for the academic year but not all of it has been dispersed yet. When I fail chem, I will fall under the 12 hour mark to be considered a full-time student. My parents simply can’t pay for UT without the financial aid. The two biggest questions these pose for me are as follows:

Does this mean I will lose my financial aid for next semester?

What can I do to help my situation (ex. transfer, take winter classes)?

Thanks in advance. I really need some guidance here.

You really should be asking these questions of the FA and guidance office at UT. They are familiar with their SAP requirements and what you can do to continue. Go there and talk to them.
