if they see that I have $xx,xxx in cash/portfolio will they revoke my financial aid? I have 0$ of income and am an independent student.</p>

<p>Don’t think so. Your expected student contribution would be higher, which probably means that you’ll get offered more loans, fewer grants. (If you don’t like loans, you can convert some loans to work-study and then apply for/get a work-study job to earn money to cover school costs.)</p>
