<p>You don’t know until you try. Seems like you might qualify for merit. Based on our other daughter’s college, we thought that our NU daughter would get nothing more than merit, but were pleasantly surprised at what she got from the university.
Who knows what will happen this year, but the worst case scenario would be, getting accepted, and having to choose to go elsewhere because you cannot make the finances work. Always good to have a back up plan, or two, or three.</p>
