Hi everyone, I 'm a french student and I’ll maybe transfer to Tulane next year. But tuitions are about $40,000 a year for internnationnal students and I heard they offer very good scholarships ( about $15,000 oO is it right ? ). How much could I expect with a GPA of about 3.3 / 4 (after my two first year )? Next september I ll be a Sophomore so I ll transfer to Tulane in third year.

And about the weather , how is it from spetember to April ?

Thanks a lot !

Weather is very good from September-April in general. A few hot days at the very start of the semester in August/early September (pretty much always), and again at the very end of April/first days of May (sometimes). In between there are many nice days of about 15-25C with some days of 10 C or less (rarely down to zero but it can happen), so it is not like Southern California or Miami where it pretty much stays warm year round, but not bad either.

Cannot tell you much about scholarship’s for students in your situation. I imagine they are handled on a case-by-case basis, so there probably are no generalizations. I would suggest that if you can manage to do very very well in your first semester sophomore year (3.8), you should then contact the admissions department and talk with them about the whole process, including the possibility of a scholarship. The fact that you are a Frech national might help, not sure. Good luck!
