hello i am a freshmen doin electrical/comp engineering…and i am really interested in financial engineering … what minors would improve my chances getting in that program? statistics, economics,…?

math minor: real analysis, diff eqs, probability, stats
econ/finance: corp finance, derivatives courses, markets
CS minor: C++, object oriented design, numerical methods

the committees view applicants on their strengths in those three areas (math, econ, and CS), so any combination of minors there would put you on the right track.
