Financial planning for elementary age kids?

My husband’s employee has elementary aged children and is wanting to put money aside for college expenses. He is a very thoughtful with how he handles his money and wants to research things such as different savings mechanisms such as 529s, asset allocations and protections, safe guarding retirement, etc.

Does anyone know of good books or articles that he could read? When I looked on Amazon, a lot of the books were more geared to applying for financial aid rather than the planning that one does as a parent of a young child.

Thanks.

Find a good financial advisor

I agree, find a good financial advisor. The financial landscape is going to look very different in the next two decades, than it has in the last two decades.
