Financial Reimbursement.

So I have decided to train and certify myself for certification in Paralegal Studies. I can probable complete everything for only 10K at my local community college and the average starting salary where I live is $40-42K. I completed my FAFSA and my college told me there is an off chance that my funds may not be available to me until AFTER the semester begins. So, I may have to pay for any texts out of pocket. I want to have my books by day 1. If I do that, meaning pay out of pocket, will I be reimbursed after I finally get my funds?

Thanks.

Yes it should refund your funds back to you.

You may also be able to charge the books at the school bookstore and then the charge will be put on your student account, paid when the funds come in.

You don’t have to worry if your account has the “Anticipated Financial Aid” listed.

What funds are you expecting? money from loans?

When you say that this program will cost $10k, is that over a year or two? how will you cover your living expenses? Will you be commuting from your parents’ home?

I see that you already have a bachelors degree. You can’t qualify for fed grants.

Are you working? If not, why not? If you are working, why can’t you buy your books from your earnings?
