Right now I am trying desperately to find a solution. Currently, my dad is pretty much nonexistent in my life and refuses to fill out forms. I have requested a waiver and had my therapist along with my school counselor corroborate my story. However, i have reason to fear a denial based on a denial from Emory. Although I’m still waiting to hear from cornell on this issue, I was wondering how could i finance my education myself?
I am willing to take on as much debt as possible; i plan on doing this NSA scholarship thing come sophomore year where they agree to pay all my expenses. however this program, for math majors, is not available to incoming freshman, just sophomores in college. So till then i am willing to take on as much debt as will allow me to go to Cornell. I would appreciate any advice regarding making this possible.
In addition, I have emailed Cornell explaining my circumstances further and I plan on calling them tomorrow.
Thanks

ChaoticOrder, I have nothing to offer in the form of advice, but I really hope things work out. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you (please come back with good news!).

Thank you Doby for your kind words. In fact I do have good news…rather, great news. Cornell waived it! So now, I am officially a cornellian 2013!
