You can now find out what scholarship you’re up for
Login

if you can’t login, does that mean you weren’t selected?

I never received a letter of acceptance, my oasis does not work… but according to that website…

I got in and am fighting for Trustee!!!

What a great surprise! Congratulations, BRENTON!

Aw… I got an acceptance letter but I don’t see anything in Explore USC. =(

BRENTON- how did you know your uscid if you didn’t get an admission letter?

edit- ahh, its on your profile page on usc.edu

Unfortunately it says they cannot even FIND my name/ID match. This may have something to do with the fact that I have a ridiculous double last name, and it may not register the same in their system. Peculiar…

what is it supposed to say for the scholarship?

KOHR… it just means you’re not on their system yet. That has happened to everyone who tried and hasn’t been accepted formally in the 1/23 send out. Don’t freak about the last name thing.

haha, KOHR, i can’t believe there’s someone else who thought it was their last name that stuffed them up on that login. I also have a double last name and was wondering if the USC system was handling it right.

Thankfully, i received a DHL email notification today for a package from USC on its way, so I’m pretty confident i’ll be receiving an acceptance.

But I think qzar is right, so far, only the 1/23 acceptees have been processed for that login.

where on the explore usc page does it say the scholarship you’re being interviewed for?

so if you log in and it doesn’t say anything about presidential or trustee, does that mean you didnt get a scholarship?

If you are NMF you will get Presidential Scholarship.

and if you are not NMF, but it does not say anything about scholarships?

You get the next tier down like Dean’s scholarship. You should know soon.

This is just my opinion but I think everyone who is getting an acceptance now will be offered an interview for one of the big scholarships. I think that is true until the “No Scholarship letter” is sent in early February.

The reason I believe that is because when my son received his acceptance (2 years ago) in late February, I talked to admissions and they told me he was the first batch of acceptances that did not receive an interview for one of the big two but he still could receive another scholarship.

Does anyone here have FIRST-HAND knowledge that would say otherwise?

in answer to cc411, I do know that the 5 or 6 students who were accepted in Jan/early Feb last year from my D’s school were scholarship candidates. All the rest received their acceptances afterwards, throughout Feb and March regardless of whether they applied by the early deadline.
I don’t know if there may be a change this year, because I’m wondering why some who’ve been accepted do not have the scholarship mention in the RSVP Explore. Maybe USC just hasn’t updated yet.
I also suspect another batch of packages are going out today. Last year they were mailed on two consecutive Fridays.

I sincerely hope you’re right Sequoia, because as an international student with no possibility of financial aid regardless of my income, there is absolutely no chance i can go to USC without at least a half tuition scholarship, and so far, the explore USC page shows no sign of a presidential or trustee scholarship

sitk, I really do hope it’s just a matter of not having updated. Your profile is terrific, I’d think USC would really want to have you, especially with the research experience.

my link for the RSVP system works, and I can login for what that’s worth. How do I know if I’m up for scholarship consideration? Where does it say that on the site?

click “reserve” under explore usc. if you’re considered for a scholarship, it’ll tell you how to sign up, etc.
