Our daughter came off waiting list at UW and looks like the priority deadline for housing is tomorrow. She would like to know if she should find her roommate using internet and indicate that in her roommate preference in the application or should she not indicate preference and let that be assigned? Alternatively, should she let the priority deadline lapse and find her roommate?

You may get more help if you specify Wyoming, Wisconsin, or Washington.
However, if she wants housing, she should get it before the priority deadline. Otherwise, she may be looking for off-campus housing before she even gets there.

Assuming U Washington, agree, apply by deadline.
Says room assignment info will be sent in July.
There may be way to change roommates later.

Will she be rushing? Freshman live in the houses but don’t always know they are in till later. Lots of movement. Great she got in before deadline. Look on Instagram pages for roommates, but don’t miss deadline for it as she wants housing.

Thanks - she went ahead and submitted her housing request today. Hope the room mate situation works out when July rolls around
