Does anyone have any good sources, besides Ebay for purchasing dinner ware. I am looking for a fairly recent pattern of Portugese dishes made for Williams Sonoma called Provence.
I have a small collection and really wish I had worked harder to find some pieces when it was still active.
Dinner plates in particular

Have you tried replacements.com?

replacement as above–and sometimes you have to keep checking back. They get new stock in all the time.

Also, just google the name and the manufacturer. Sometimes small stores will pop up and have some in stock.

I looked at replacements and did the obligatory google search. The pattern was made specifically for WS. They only have a few oddball pieces , nothing I could really use or that I don’t already have. I think I will just check from time to time to see if anyone has any, or maybe just consider getting something else for larger gatherings

I second to keep checking back - their stock changes quite a bit. I was looking to replace a large bowl my mother had broken and would check occasionally - after looking every so often for about 6-9 months they had one.

What are you looking for. There are still a few pieces on William Sonoma, and there is at least 1 dinner plate on e-bay. They are beautiful dishes. I could not justify adding them to my collection.

Be sure to check e-bay on a regular basis. I found some pretty obscure crystal cordial glasses there that were much cheaper than replacements.

You can also set up an email to be sent to you when something with your description comes onto eBay. I did it several years ago for my great-grandmother’s sterling flatware pattern.

I would like to add between 4-8 dinner plates only. I have some of the other pieces , but the plates would be useful. I love them. I do not own fine china ( at least nothing that I like or is my taste )

I think you can set up a notificstion on replacements. They always email me when things in my pattern come in, but I don’t remember how it started.

There is a warehouse in Brewster, NY called Casa Fina. They sell Portugese hand painted dishes, etc. I thought that I have seen this pattern there during their warehouse sales. I sent an email to them about the pattern. I’ll let you know if they come up with anything.

Just heard back from Cas Fina. They said that they do not have the pattern and also suggested replacements.com. I was thinking that some of the WS outlets may have the pattern in plates available.

Have you tried a Williams-Sonoma outlet store. I believe the Tangers outlet centers have them.

We don’t have any WS outlets in our area, but I will check. I did an online chat with a WS customer service rep and she checked the stores , but I would guess the outlets are different division. I will definately check that too.

A year or so ago I saw these dishes at our local TJMaxx. Unfortunately, TJs business model is “treasure hunting”, and merchandise disappears from the shelves quickly.
