finding the best fit.

i’m having a reallt difficult time locating schools that are the best fit overall. My ultimate dream is either stanford or brown plme. could you possibly recommend some good match/safety schools.

Rank 3/330
SAT: CR:590 M:630 W:700
SATII: Bio e: 750, Spanish: 630 (im retaking this)
Cum GPA: 4.418
Classes: all honors except collegic prep united states history one and prep physics.
APs: Bio and English Lang this year (Calc, Spanish, English, and Chemistry next year)

Major: Biochem (i’m aiming for premed)
Minor Spanish

Its very frustrating…my scores do not represent me well but i have taken the sats three times already. any suggestions would be awesome.

I’ve heard that Franklin & Marshall has a very good pre-med program.

William & Mary doesnt rely on SAT scores as much as other top schools. maybe also Vassar or Haverford or Chicago

Brown, Stanford? Not with those SAT scores  Berkeley has an amazing chem program. hope that helps

try schools in the top 30-50 range for reaches/matches

Have you thought about taking the ACT?

i definitely second that recommendation to take the act…my scores were very close to yours on my practives sats (a very low cr), but when I took the act, I got a 34 on reading, as opposed to my projected 590 on the sat cr section

How are your ECs?

And, yup, F&M has strong sciences, especially premed. Not amazing area, though. (Haha, I live there.)

If Stanford and Brown are considered to be the perfect fits, I don’t see where we’re getting F & M from.

What state do you live in? You might want to consider its public universities.
