I’m trying to compare potential graduate school advisers. What sites do you guys typically use to find the total number of citations one has received in his career?
I use google scholar usually, but I couldn’t find my professors on there, so I assume they have not made an account on there. What other sites do you guys use?

Web of Science has an Author search so if you know the field, the places where the professor has been and other information, you can probably narrow it down.

Try PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed) for biomedical related publications
