Fine arts?

It seems like McGill is totally devoid of fine arts classes. I'm wondering if it's a common thing for McGill students to take classes at other universities to make up for this (Concordia?). Is fine arts a thing that not a lot of McGill students pursue?

Also, random other question - do most first years still live on campus? I've heard about how awesome off-campus housing is, but is living in rez a better way to make friends and familiarize, or do you think it's kind of unnecessary and skippable?

Thanks very much in advance!

Well, if a student wants to pursue a major in Fine Arts, I would say it would be more common to just apply to and attend a different university which offers that program (like Concordia) rather than cross-register.

However, it is possible and fairly easy to take courses at any Quebec university as there is an agreement that handles this.
