<p>sure… igetc certification is fine by the end of spring. there is no point in trying to get it done \ earlier. I don’t think it’s an advantage to have it done earlier.</p>
<p>if u’re applying for an impacted major, I’d do as many prereqs as possible and as soon as possible.</p>
<p>what if the GE requirement of our school or the school we are transferring to has upper division courses in it? would we need to take those too, if we were transferring from a 4 year to another 4 year, as a junior? Or just finish the lower div?</p>
<p>They use your grades from english and math to guage how you’ll do later on. So if you’re applying for an impacted major, finish them asap, and after you apply take some more courses that can kind of “support” your major.</p>
<p>But of course they won’t use it against you if you don’t finish alllll of them by the time you apply.</p>

some advice though, make sure you are taking classes for the UC igetc and not the CSU igetc. one class I took satisfied the CSU req. but not the UC because they changed the classes’ status a few years ago.</p>
