Finish quickly or take it slow with internships?

I am considering transferring from a four year in Washington to UC Davis for a degree program that really suits me, but I am also very happy where I am and have the possibility of finishing in two more years. Transferring to Davis would require a year at CC and two more years at Davis, although I’d have plenty of time for internships that year at CC.

I’m interested to hear some different perspectives on this. Is it better to finish quickly with a general degree and worry about work experience post graduation, or take longer to get a more focused degree combined with work experience?

there are already two threads about this topic…see below
