Finishing college in 2.5 years?

I have already completed one year of college, but due to many circumstances way beyond my control, I was unable to return. Would I be able to complete my (mass communications) degree in maybe 2.5 years? My plan is to take my prerequisites at the local community college, even during the summer, and transfer to a four year institute. (I’d also like to be tested for ADD but that’s a separate story.) Would this be at all possible?

It sounds possible if you are able to use the credits from your one year of college and transfer that to your new institution? That would be equivalent to 3.5 years of college which is possible if you decide to take max amount of classes + summer classes or overload a semester or two + summer depending on how many classes you need to graduate.

Unstated in your post is whether it is possible or desirable to return to your previous school and finish your degree there. (You may have been unable to return then, but do the reasons still apply?)
